So much of our work is tangible yet unspoken; how do you express the love you put into a meal shared with friends or a ride given in a time of need? Our lives are woven through encounters that do not always add up on a calculator or computer to anything beyond a few hours shared with friends.
I've spent far less time in Second Life lately and more time with people who mean a lot to me.
My meditation teacher Ashanti (VJ Vivia) came inworld to share her latest video montage of art and science. She flew out for GeekPow with our friends from Boston, Denver and other points east to escape the cold for the warm cozy goodness of Los Angeles. I don't think LA has let any of us down yet. This week we share our home with 25 environmental educators from Common Vision and we're thrilled to have a house full of energy, warmth, nourishment and love. I'm bringing a few new clients into the virtual world soon and will be launching back in after moving into new offices this week with my AMO team here in LA and points all over. If you want to join the AMO team as a consultant, volunteer, advisor or intern now is a great time to get in touch! Email inkenzo at gmail - com with your interests, skillsets and examples of work that you're happy to share.
Next week I'll be sharing more about a new blog with more green leaders (go green fairy!) along with details about our new Second Life islands emerging. For now, meet one of our AMO team members keeping me in line, Jean Russell of Nurture.biz (Yes Bright in Second Life, pictured here at Powell's Books in Portland). Jean's job at AMO is to help refine the language, concepts and articulation we use to talk about the AMO Community. She's a master network weaver and connector with a gift for creating caring communities and we're thrilled she's helping us grow the AMO studio team.
